What are the benefits of dermaplaning?

  • Remove protective cap from the dermaplane razor.
  • Hold skin taut in the area you are about to dermaplane.
  • Hold dermaplane razor at a level 30° angle and use light, downward strokes in the direction of hair growth. Do not apply excessive pressure
  • After dermaplaning, apply a gentle moisturizer, and SPF 30 or higher if the skin will be exposed to the sun.
  • Allow skin to rest for 8 hours without applying makeup, cleansers, exfoliants, or other facial products.
  • Each Refillable Dermaplane Razor blade cartridge may be used up to 3 times.

Dermaplaning Myths Debunked

Will my hair grow back thicker or darker?

No! Dermaplaning removes fine hair, also known as vellus hair or peach fuzz, from the outermost layer of the skin, but it doesn’t affect the hair follicle or hair growth. Your hair will grow back at the same thickness and darkness as before. It might initially feel coarser (like all hair does when it regrows after shaving), but will get softer as it grows.

Can I just use a body razor on my face?

We don’t recommend it. A body razor cartridge is designed for gliding along stretches of skin and shaving denser areas of hair. A dermaplane is specifically designed for removing fine facial hair and navigating the skin on your face.
