In The Shower

With Vikki Williams Cornwall

IN THIS EDITION: More than just a place to get clean, the shower can be a sanctuary for deep thought, a stage for impromptu karaoke, or a haven for quiet reflection. Today, we learn what showering means to Flamingo’s VP, Vikki Williams Cornwall, and get into the nitty gritty of her routine.

Q: Do you shower in the morning or at night?

A: Both! A night shower is my go-to for washing away the day and unwinding before bed. But when life gets hectic and I'm too exhausted by bedtime, a morning shower becomes my reset button, helping me start the day fresh. (And yes, I make sure to wash my sheets more often during those weeks—no judgment!)

Q: What’s the best idea you’ve ever come up with in the shower?

A:The shower is my ultimate creative space! I once came up with the idea of a shower gel that could heat up as you use it. This way, you wouldn’t have to deal with that awkward cold moment while waiting for the shower water to warm up. It felt like a genius idea in the moment! But after some reflection (post-shower, of course), I realized it might not be ideal for sensitive areas—so back to the drawing board!

Q: Shave Oil or Shave Gel?

A: Shave oil all the way. I have dry skin and am always looking for ways to layer moisture.

Q: Do you think of the shower as a place for relaxation, or are you more of a "get in, get out" kind of person?

A: As a mom, the shower is my sanctuary—the one place where I won’t be interrupted! It’s not just about getting clean; it’s a rare moment to focus entirely on myself and relax, even if just for a little while..

Q: If you could only listen to one song in the shower for the rest of your life, what would it be?

A:“Before I Let Go” by Beyonce
